There must be something more.
How many times have you thought or said that to yourself out loud?
There must be something more waiting for me and my life.
Depending on where you find yourself and what you’re experiencing in your life right now, this statement can feel exciting and empowering, or it can feel disempowering and desperate.
There comes a time for many of us, when we realize that we’ve been existing on autopilot and not living the life we thought we would or, worse yet, living someone else’s life. This can arise as a sudden revelation or appear after a slow, frustrated daily burn.
Either way, the simple recognition that we’re all destined for more – to live our greatest lives – can open the door to possibility and real change.
But how do you ignite that possibility?
How do you go from feeling stuck and unsure of your first steps to truly lighting the flame of possibility in your own life?
One of the biggest reasons you might struggle with igniting your own possibility is that you don’t know how to begin.
You may recognize you’re meant for something bigger, but you can’t even imagine what that might be. Or perhaps you do know what that bigger thing is but you have no idea how to get there.
You might feel overwhelmed by all the steps and changes your dreams require, so rather than map them out, you give up before you even get started.
But no matter what you tell yourself or where you find yourself right now, you can ignite the power of possibility to change your life.
Recognize that if you feel you’re meant for something more, you really can achieve what you set your heart on. Whether you’re 20 or 65, you always have time to reach for that something more you’ve been longing for..
And even if you’re not really sure how you’re going to get there, you can begin with a single step.
Instead of needing to see the full picture or have every step mapped out, what if you could identify just one small step? The trap many of us fall into is that we think everything must be laid out before we even dare make a move.
If overwhelm and confusion have held you back, what might become possible if you took even one simple step and trusted that the rest will unfold as you take action?
Action alleviates overwhelm.
Possibility begins with a single step.
It’s about letting yourself believe movement creates momentum and that when you jump, your life will indeed appear.
Certainly the unknown can be uncomfortable. It is even for me.
If you’re going to fly, you need to move your wings.
What that looks like for you may be very different than anyone else. And you may even be tempted to criticize your steps if they don’t feel big enough.
But taking even the smallest steps will move you forward and help you feel stronger, more confident.
So, for example, maybe you want to start your own business but every time you think about it you get overwhelmed. What if you start with one small step . . .
Maybe you can outline your idea or pick out the perfect business name or even write out the list of people you know who can help you get started.
My hope is that you’ll start somewhere and give that flame of excitement within you the possibility to grow!
Focus on abundance and watch your life expand.
Another way you can begin to ignite the power of possibility in your life is to focus on greater abundance and gratitude.
Too many of us fall victim to scarcity mindset.
Getting trapped by the thought that there isn’t enough. That someone else already has done what you want or claimed your desires.
It’s simply not true.
When you begin to focus on abundance, you expand possibility and start to see how everything in your life is perfectly set up for you to receive.
I’m not asking you to pretend or make believe that everything is perfect.
I’m asking you to open yourself up to the possibility that the whispers you hear – the calling of your soul that’s been knocking – deserves a chance to take flight.
When you see abundance and the power of possibility you find the courage to step outside of the smallness of your world and expand into that something bigger you’ve been waiting for.
It is ultimately a simple shift, but one that can truly ignite the catalyst for change.
I share this with you in case you’ve heard that calling. If you’ve been waiting to take bigger chances in your life, now is the time.
What will you do to ignite your power of possibility this week?
