Nothing is necessarily wrong with her life.
In fact, her life meets every definition of success by most people’s standards. But she often talks herself out of her own dissatisfaction by telling herself:
“My life is fine.”
“I shouldn’t complain.”
“I should feel grateful for what I have.”
But there’s a hidden dark side to convincing ourselves that we’re fine, and in turning to “I’m fine” as the catch-all response we tell others.
