Episode 199: The Success Trap: How High-Achieving Women Get Stuck in Burnout

In this episode...

Being the strong one is a paradox.

It makes us feel needed, accomplished, and gives us a sense of belonging.

But there’s a dark side to being the driven achiever who gets things done: chronic resentment and emotional exhaustion.

Followed by a need for space from others to recover, while simultaneously feeling guilty that we’re not doing as much as we could.

It’s a vicious cycle. One that keeps us perpetually unhappy. And others at arm’s length.

Because how can we truly be emotionally present or available when we’re depleted or worrying about the 27 things we need accomplished by tomorrow?

Unfortunately, many driven women might change careers, partners or even living locations…only to find themselves running into the same burnout, but in a different situation.

If you’ve ever wondered how your life can look so great on paper, while you feel so resentful, unfulfilled or lonely on the inside, then this episode of The Nancy Levin Show is for you.
