Episode 53: Where Does Your Sense of Self-Worth Come From? Reframing Mistakes, Collaboration, and Criticism

In this episode...

Here’s a fun fact: when I was the Event Director at Hay House, my team gave me a nickname: Bru (short for Brujita), which means “little witch” in Spanish. The reason why? Because I allowed no room for error in my team.

As a former people pleaser, I used to be a perfectionist. Maybe you can relate. And as a perfectionist, my sense of self-worth was wrapped up in my achievements. That frame caused any mistakes to feel like the end of the world.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. Eventually I learned that making mistakes and asking for help doesn’t make you less of a person. And when you can figure out how to learn from your mistakes and accept the help of others, it takes a ton of weight off your shoulders and frees you to be a happier person.

Listen to Your Permission Prescription: Episode 53 to learn how to take a healthier view of mistakes, collaboration, and asking for help.
