Nancy Levin: Welcome back to the Nancy Levin Show. In this episode, we’re diving into the less glamorous side of the coaching industry, the trends and practices that can leave both coaches and clients feeling disillusioned.

We’ll explore why some people jump into coaching without proper training…

The pressure to charge high ticket prices without the experience to back it up…

And why these common pitfalls do not have to define your journey as a transformational coach.

If you have been hesitant to step into coaching because of doubts or fears about whether you’ll be good enough. This episode is for you.

We will shift those beliefs and call you forward into the higher identity of the coach you’re meant to be –  the one who leads with integrity, [00:01:00] purpose, and heart.

The coaching industry has grown so incredibly rapidly in recent years, and with that growth comes a lack of regulation. Many people jump into coaching without proper training or certification thinking they can just rely on charisma or personal experience, but without a strong foundation in proven tools, techniques, and frameworks, coaches risk doing more harm than good, or leaving clients feeling unsupported and stuck.

This can look like coaches giving surface level one fits all advice instead of diving into the root causes of a client’s struggles.

This can look like over promising results without the skills to guide clients [00:02:00] through deeper transformations. This can look like relying solely on inspiration without offering practical, actionable steps for growth.

This can also look like giving advice and telling clients what to do instead of asking questions that guide clients to their own answers. In the coaching world, there’s a lot of buzz around charging high ticket prices.

While it’s important to value your work and charge commensurate for that value, the problem arises when coaches start charging premium rates without the experience, tools, or results to back it up.

This creates a disconnect between the value being promised and the value being delivered, and ultimately it [00:03:00] erodes the trust in the coaching industry as a whole.

You don’t have to charge high ticket prices right out of the gate to prove your worth as a coach.

Start where you are. Focus on building your skills, gaining experience, and creating true impact.

As your confidence grows and your clients see real results, the financial abundance will follow. Coaching isn’t about following trends. It’s about building a career that feels aligned with your integrity and your purpose.

One of the darker trends in the coaching industry is the rise of coaches who make the work about themselves instead of their clients.

They focus on building their personal brand, showcasing their success, and creating flashy marketing campaigns. But behind the scenes, their coaching [00:04:00] is shallow.

And client focused results take a backseat. This looks like coaches using their platforms primarily to promote themselves rather than genuinely serving their audience over emphasis on social proof, luxury lifestyles, income claims, instead of client transformation processes.

Clients feeling like they’re just another number in the coaches program rather than being truly seen and supported.

If you’ve been doubting whether you have what it takes to be a transformational coach, remember this, the most impactful coaches aren’t the ones with the flashiest marketing or the loudest voices.

They’re the ones who lead with humility. Empathy and deep commitment to their client’s growth. [00:05:00]

If you feel called to coaching because you genuinely want to help and guide others, that is your superpower.
